Document Events

Important! Embed fonts to ensure all fonts print to pdf.

Word is used as the example in the instructions.

Note: To ensure easy filing, name the original document according to the listed document event. 

  1. Open the original document (WordPerfect, Word, Petition Software, WebPages, etc.) 
  2. Print to PDF
    1. Click on "File" on the application's menu bar.
    2. Click on "Print" from the drop down menu. The "Print Dialog Box" appears.
    3. Select "Acrobat PDF Writer" as current printer selection and press the Print button. The "Save PDF File As" screen appears.
    4. Name your PDF file.
    5. Choose the appropriate directory by clicking in your Save in: window 
    6. Click on the save button to print and save to PDF.
  3. Print a paper copy of the document for original signatures. 
    Note:
    For WebPages, such as the Notice of Electronic Filing, print a paper copy if not printing to PDF.
  4. Keep original signed document at your office.

Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing is the electronic file stamp that confirms the filing of your document. Keep in your office.
