   Court Reporters - New to CM/ECF

Court reporters trained and certified in CM/ECF
can file transcripts using their Limited Access
CM/ECF login and password.

Getting a CM/ECF login and password

If you are a court reporter wishing to file transcripts via CM/ECF, you must take our training to obtain a Limited Access login and password in the Southern District of California.

Each bankruptcy court has different filing requirements, and our CM/ECF training focuses on our court-specific filing requirements.

Your CM/ECF training consists of these components:

  • Self-paced tutorial lessons and a video containing specifics for CM/ECF filing in our court

  • Our CM/ECF test, which involves answering quiz questions based on the lessons and video and filing documents in our CM/ECF training database

Important:
All filers must successfully complete our CM/ECF test
to receive their CM/ECF login and password for our court.

Follow these steps to obtain a CM/ECF login and password:

Complete the registration form.

Complete the tutorial lessons and view the training video.

Suggestion:

You may wish to print the CM/ECF test (see Step 4) to help you answer the quiz questions as you work through the tutorial lessons and training videos.

Attach your completed CM/ECF test to an E-mail and send it to:

casb_training@casb.uscourts.gov

After we receive your test, we will review it.

Upon your successful completion of our CM/ECF test, we will contact you within two business days concerning your CM/ECF login and password.
