To file electronically in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court - Southern District of California, all CM/ECF users are required to register and complete training.
Each bankruptcy court has different filing requirements, and our CM/ECF training is focused on our court-specific filing requirements.
Our training is largely online, and you can complete it at your own pace. First, you must decide what kind of CM/ECF login and password you require.
Determine the CM/ECF access you need
Your required training is based on:
- The type of CM/ECF login you are requesting, and
- If you are already filing in CM/ECF at another court
To register and begin your training:
- Decide from the tables below if you need a Full Access Login or a Limited Access Login, then select:
- New to CM/ECF if you are not filing with CM/ECF in another court,
or
- Already Filing with CM/ECF if you are currently filing with CM/ECF in another court.
